I find that a bummer! However, I was able to load the game without the GIM mod and just used dgvoodoo wrapper and was able to recruit the maiden and elites in my pet dungeon.

I'm using GIM (won't load without it) and since the dgvoodoo wrapper requires to use the DKII.exe and not the DKII-DX.exe, it says the patch is at 1.5 in the lower left on the main menu. :D Before it would always crash at start up or not even start at all, even with the GIM mod. This got the game to finally work!!! Thank you so much.
